I am a linguist working on Australian languages spoken in Arnhem Land in the Northern Territory of Australia: Dalabon, Barunga Kriol, and other languages spoken in the same region (Gunwinyguan family). While my research is primarily in linguistics, I also some background in philosophy, as well as anthropological interests. My linguistic research deals with expressivity and the encoding of emotions in language.
I am currently a postdoctoral researcher at The University of Sydney (Department of Linguistics). I am also affiliated to the Australian National University (Linguistics Department of the College of Asia and the Pacific), and to the Australian Research Council Centre of Excellence for the Dynamics of Language.
